In the last 6 months we lived here, there were TWELVE (12) break ins! Including the assistant manager's place. All of the front door frames are very cheap. The screws don't even go into the wall studs, making them very weak.
There is a huge walkway into the woods at the back of the community. Which is how the theives get in and out of the place without being seen. The owners refuse to do anything about it.
Management refused to let us put a doubled-key dead bolt on. Not that it would've mattered, as our door was easily kicked in. We still wanted one, since there is a large window next to the front door.
We also had a pipe break on Christmas. We had no water for a few days. The plumber informed us that they used very cheap plastic pipes, and he could live off of just doing the repairs here. It then took management 2 weeks to fix the HUGE holes cut in our walls, with exposed insulation.
Our place was 1.5 bath, except for winter time. Due to poor insulation, the downstairs bathroom's pipes freeze during colder weather.
Management does NOT answer the phone, or call you back in regards to repairs. We had to give management letters, and make them sign a copies of them, just to get management to do repairs. They had only 1 - 2 maintainence employees, they both did horrible work.
The manager at the time, Danielle, was very nice when we were first looking, but was EXTREMELY hard to get a hold of once we moved in.
Our place had a garage, but it was very hard to drive through the community, as everyone parks on the street along the curbs. Most of the kids there will not move for your car, and will just stare at your while you have to drive around them! During the summer months all the young teens will hang out on the street until around 1-2am. They are VERY loud, and management does nothing about it.
There was a play area near our place, and there is no such thing as adult supervision. Kids are extremely loud, and often get hurt or throw things at the apartments.
We ofter heard out neighbors, as they were loud, and the insulation is very thin. Whenever they would smoke, our ENTIRE place would be FILLED with the smell of cigarettes. It was like pulling teeth to get management to do anything, and when they did, it didn't help at all. In the end, what we did OURSELVES helped more, and cost alot of money, but the problem never went away.
We had a fireplace, but it didn't heat the place at all. Due to the poor insulation, it took FOREVER to heat the place, and almost as soon as you turned the heat off, it would get cold again. Our heating bills were huge.
For the price this place is not worth it at all. It looks nice on the outside, but they were built quick and cheap. Due to the location, and poor contruction they are not safe at all.

I feel you as I was a victim of break in before. Hopefully the thief will be captured soon. May be install a cam-recorder or management team can get a patrol.

We've been living at these townhomes for a 1 1/2 years and we've already had 3 pipe break. The last one flooded the entire downstairs.
We've also experienced the smell of cigarettes due to poor insulation.
It's been a nightmare!!!
