It's completely understandable, that when researching for a place to live that you do the most amount of investigating possible. Websites like this one allow parties to get a glimpse of what generally is going on at a particular apartment.

This is where it gets ugly.

Waterford at the Lakes is an apartment that in it's day probably enjoyed a fair amount of success/popularity with the local community. It's location in the Kent valley, proximity to schools, 167 & I-5 make it a place that you'd naturally want to try out.

Don't.

Incompetent staffing, escalating crime, shoddy amenities and terrible maintenance are just a few of the glaring reasons to stay away. I was told along time ago; "you get what you pay for." This management team is going to make sure that you will pay top dollar for a "low budget" product. Management here is doing everything they can to "polish a turd" this single-minded approach completely leaves the renters out of the mix because the things that matters most to any renter is the best value for the dollar. Cutting corners on basic maintenance like replacing w/d, repairing doors or stoves, replacing carpets, painting walls etc. sends a strong, negative message. When these things are done in a timely and professional manner, the message is different,it says: "We're here to serve you and give you the best possible value for your dollar." When these things happen, people don't look for reasons to move, they don't complain too much about rental increases because they'll feel that they're getting the one-two combo of service & value.

Basically, there are other apartment communities in this area that are worth a try. Signature Pointe, Hampton Bay, Island Park, Riverwood, just to name a few. I will be leaving here soon, I've not enjoyed the time here but I know that in time this management group will be forced to take a different approach and do what's right--GET INVOLVED!!
