Avoid this complex From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 7/11/2008 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2008   My husband and I moved in when the building first opened because we got a great deal. We were only paying $800/month for a large one bedroom and got a month and a half for free. After that rent kept climbing to meet up with what they call "market rate." By the time we moved out in June of this year it was up to $1490 for a one bedroom. The complex itself has little amenities. There is only a workout facility. The apartments have no decks or fireplaces. The higher the floor you live on, the hotter you will be in the summer. When the temp gets over 80 in the area the apt is basically unlivable. The management company is ok but there is always a high number of turnovers. We saw countless people in the time we lived there and it ended up being a huge hastle. DO NOT COUNT on getting any of your deposit back. They will nickel and dime you for damages and their idea of wear and tear is miniscule. The maintenance man, Chris, flat out lied to us when he was talking to us about move out charges. He informed us that because we had been there so long paint was considered normal wear and tear and we would not be charged but come to find out that once the final bill arrived that we got charged $175. He had no good explanation and you have to pay it or you get sent to collections. If you are living in the D building be prepared to hear screaming kids in the courtyard EVERY sunny day in the afternoon and evening. It's above and beyond how loud kids usually are but management will not do anything about it because THEY ARE THE MANAGERS KIDS! If you are looking for a quality luxury apt in the area go across the street to Chelsea. They are approx the same price, you get more amenities, and the living situation is a lot better! They also do not inform residents about cars being stolen from the garage. My husband had his car stolen from the back of the garage and when we told management, they informed us that this had happened several times. Also, the camera system monitoring the garage barely works and is there for looks only.
