Just to give a few pluses / minuses

Pluses
Workout area is nice with machines that work.
Location is great
Secured Parking
Minuses
Door in the secured parking area has been broken for months!
Garbage / Recycle area's aren't kept up.
Property staff is Sub-Par. Don't answer emails - phone calls. (Very green and know nothing about customer service or overall business aptitude)
Side note -
I wanted to stay with Avalon - it's close to my work and overall a good place. The staff didnt seem to want to work with me. As in, I asked about pricing - no response for 3-4 days. When they responded the apartment was gone or pricing had changed. I tried to start conversations with them a few months before my lease was up and didn't get very far. Obviously they don't want to keep good people that pay rent on time - so I took my business elsewhere.

1st, I don't work for Avalon. 2nd, I live in this community. As for the door, I wonder if anyone reported it? I noticed a broken one and told the front desk, it was fixed within a couple days. You do have to bug them to follow up on questions, but where does that NOT happen? I'll move there cuz I've never had a prompt reply from apartment management/staff in 12 years of renting. The staff is always nice to me, and helpful, even if they need to be reminded. I understand I'm not the only person that lives there and things slip through cracks sometimes.
