We just moved in a month ago and can't stand it. We hear every pounding footstep of the woman above us. I hear every step she makes in the morning - walking back and forth a hundred times and every step she takes between returning home and finally going to bed, which isn't until 11:30 or so. The track lighting in the living room shakes everytime she walks - making a strobe light effect. We also hear every word through the bathrooms and every cabinet door or drawer opening or closing, even when we're not in there. There's absolutely no insulation in the bathrooms. Adding to the unfortunate location of our apartment, we also hear all the noise coming from the recreation room through the bathroom walls. When there's several people in there and they're playing pool, it is VERY loud. It's now 11:45pm and I'm listening to them now. Of course it's all been reported, but it hasn't made any difference. Oh yeah, I was told by the staff that these apartments were very sound proof. I talked to another resident on the same floor and he has the same problems with noise as we do. His complaints went unheard also. I was also told that no one else had ever complained about hearing the person above them so clearly. The staff has been extremely disceptive. They did admit that there was very little insulation (if any) in the bathrooms and suggested that we keep the doors closed.

Whoever wrote this (anonymous) response is obviously working with the management company or are leasing consultants. I know of several people who have complained repeatedly about noise from foot-traffic, water running, etc. from units both above and to the side. Management does not take them seriously and instead makes you feel like you are the only one with the problem, and that maybe you are just hearing things.

I guess it didn't log me in, sorry. I'll tell you right now I don't work for this company in any form. I've been here a year and when my lease was up I renewed for another. My rent barely went up (unlike so many places) and I've been very happy with it here. The only downside is the parking garage now that it's been opened semi to the public due to Brix.
