I signed a lease here awhile back, and it has been a miserable experience!
The only thing the management staff is competent at is being deceptive salespeople and making false promises. They are of no help, and in most cases are just downright rude. Got a problem with your apartment, or the fact that the amenities are broken, or that you are slapped with ungodly utility charges ... tough luck! Also, not that I would even consider staying, but I was just presented with the lease renewal terms. On my 1-Bedroom 1-Bath unit, they are trying to raise the rent from $1,050/mo to $1,500/mo (a 50% increase!!). They are claiming that $1,500/mo is "the current market value". I don't think so! And to go month-to-month, tack $300/mo on top of that. Watch out for those teaser rates - they will jack your rent up royally when it's time to renew.
Living here has been miserable, especially considering the high rent. The apartment construction is cheap. A few people have said they don't hear noise. They are the minority, and are probably deaf or are the ones creating the noise. I've lived in apartments for awhile, so I expect there to be occasional noise since folks share walls, but this place is ridiculous! Whether it be your upstairs neighbor walking around, playing music, or just flushing the toilet, the landscapers firing up the leafblower at 7 am, crying babies, the drunkards at the bar across the street yelling until 2 am virtually every night, the harleys revving it up and drag races that occur on 100th Ave NE all the time, good luck having a moments peace and quiet or good night sleep!
In short, I strongly recommend that you skip this place in your apartment search. It is a miserable place to live.

We felt it necessary to reply to this review since it so blatantly defames our office staff on everything we stand and strive for. To be honest, when I first read this review, I thought for sure it was posted for the wrong apartment community.
We try our very hardest to be kind and helpful to every resident and potential resident who walk through our doors. Unfortunately, sometimes we are unable to meet every need of every resident, but we can honestly say we will make every attempt to try.
As far as the renewal increase being so high, I have looked through every renewal offer that has been sent out in the last three months and cannot see one where the rent has been increased more than $55.00. We mean it when we say we want to keep the residents we have here, and we definitely do not want to loose them by increasing their rent a lot higher.
Another discrepancy I see with this review is the comment on our service request system. Most, if not all, of our service request are finished within 24 hours unless we have to order parts. And we have never received a complaint about our ???amenities (being) broken.???
We are truly sorry that you have had an unhappy time here at the Chelsea. I really urge you to come and talk to us so at the very least we can fix your renewal offer. If it did say that you were going to receive a $450.00 increase, it was a mistake and we want to fix that. I am sorry that it had to escalate to this, and that you will leave with a bad memory of the Chelsea. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your remaining time here more enjoyable.
