Not a bad place.

The name of the complex is "Evergreen Heights Apartments", not "Kirkland Heights".
It's a nice place with an up-to-date look. Only one parking space per apartment is not very convenient, but it's close to I-405, the totem lake transit station, a Safeway.
It's fairly quiet except on summer evenings, when there's partying going on at the pool or Sat. mornings, when kids play in the parking lot. The walls between the living area and the bathrooms are thin, and you can hear the rush of water down the pipes through that wall well. It's startling at first, but you get used to it. You can't hear it so much from the bedrooms.
The grounds are well-groomed and the lot is sealed yearly. The speedbumps suck, but you can't have it all, right'
Third floor is very safe for the paranoid, but I leave my doors unlocked by accident and have had no problem yet.
Washer dryer inside the apartment - very nice. Also a washing machine, garbage disposal, and everyone has their own water heater.
Maintenance doesn't know what they're doing. My bathroom sink has scorching hot water, but the shower was barely warm. They turned up the temp on the water heater. Yeah, right... that's gonna help. I had to fix it myself and then turned the water heater back down to a sane level. We also asked them to fix a sliding door with a broken latch. They said it wasn't broken. I cut a piece of wood to block it shut. That's safer than a latch anyway.
