Horrible place to live

The reviews are correct. I've lived here for 8 years and as the management kept changing things kept getting worse. The rent is way too high for the quality of the place. And they don't advertise it, but the rent doesn't even include water, sewer and trash. That's extra$. The parking is so horrible that they offer a second reserved spot for a fee. More$. They spent the money on the office/cabana, but not on the apartments themselves. And yes, the trash areas are not clean. and they don't enforce their own rules about noise, parking or not working on vehicles in the parking lots. It's becoming very trashy and, trust me, you can find better value very close by.

I agree with the negative reviews, I just hope the management is aware of the reviews and perhaps try to do something to make this a better community to live in, as mentioned there are much better and happier places to live in. The rent is way to high, as it has gone up at least 120.00 in one year and that is just for a one bedroom!! they do not have compassion for someone who has lived here for at least 5 years or even try to work with them on Rent. They just raise it as far as it an go to the point you cannot live here anymore, and not willing to work with you.

Rent Prices: While i agree the rent prices are higher than what we feel the value should be, did you try negotiation? I lowered my rent from original move and and each lease after that. Parking: For a one bedroom, why would you need more than one parking? Yes, i live with someone else and only once did we have to park on the street. since parking is limited it makes sense to charge for an extra spot. Garbage: Its a dumpster. If you don't like it being messy then clean it up yourself. more often than not i see it dirty on garbage day and then clean the next. Paying for utilities: that is a luxury that most apartments in our price range (of where we live) do not have. I'd rather pay a correct rate of bills than have an extra 200 tacked onto rent each month. Noise: Since most noise complaints are after hours, you can always call the cops. and insted of calling in the complaint to management, go in and talk to someone. That way you can make sure that someone got the message. If that doesnt work, voice your complaints to Essex Corporate Office. So, after 8 years, why do you continue to live there, if your money can be spent elsewhere?

This second response is rather funny. Way off track. Either this is a first time renter who doen't know any better or more likely it was written by one of the staff. If you like it there then by all means stay! Just letting people know there are much better options. And no, I don't live there anymore.
