It's an apartment, not a luxury condo!

First and foremost - this is an apartment complex, not a luxury condo estate.
Rent - It is steep, but each time i was able to lower the original asking price for rent. All you have to do is ask! Also i was able use a coupon from Rent.Com and receive a discount off my first month. They also worked with my roommate who has poor credit and rental history to stay as well.
Parking - Yes, it is lame that you only get one spot. But again i dont know other places besides a house that will give you more. Even condos nowadays only give one spot. If you need an extra spot, or extra storage pay the fee for renting one. I haven't had a problem finding parking and we both come home between 3-7pm at night. Only once did i have to park on the street.
Noise - again, this is an apartment complex. If you don't expect to hear your neighboors you are living in a fantasy world. Insted of being passive aggressive if you have a problem with the noise either confront your neighboor (or offender), talk to management directly, or call the cops. I can count on my fingers how many times i thought the noise from another would keep me up (meaning, not that many times).
Maintenance - While i did have issues moving in with the sockets, only once did a request go unanswered. if you dont get a response within a few days, why let it sit forever' Bring it up again. People make mistakes or get busy. I'd also like to say that I've never seen them work earlier than 9 on the weekends which is very considerate to us weekenders. Only ONE time did the "emergancy" maintenance guy not show up that really made me mad - my elderly neighboor was locked out of her house. We paid for the lock smith, and i heard that the staff paid her back.
Grounds - very well kept. Garbage can be messy, but it is a dumpster. I've only seen it filled to the brime once. I only wish that the recycle was back at every garbage site. But if i am complaining becuase i am too lazy to walk, then that is sad.
Staff - Everyone is very nice! From moving in, resigning out lease, and any question i had they were always able to answer.
Other thoughts - they just opened up the exercise room to be 24 hours which is wonderful! the pool and spa area are well maintained.
For the reviews who say its the worse place ever, but have been living there longer than 1 year, why stay' Yes, the cost of moving is a pain, but if you hate a place so much, than move. You're no better than the crazy lady who scared off a sale by yelling at everyone.

First, no, they don't lower your rent. Second, almost all other places have better parking. Third, the garbage is more often that not overflowing and stewn all around on the ground. People work on there cars and bikes all the time. And yes, they're not supposed to, but the management never does any thing about it. Seriously, it's very trashy and that's why it atracts all the crime that it does. Have fun there!

Thanks for your response. But yes, they did lower my rent twice.
How was your approach to lower the rent? Also, what crime has gone on there?

If you get home any later than 7 parking sucks though. I usually don't get off work until 10:30, so I had to park in the street almost every night. I was never given an option to purchase an extra parking spot or else I gladly would have. My new place is downtown and there is plenty of free parking right in the complex.
