This is my first (and last) Kirkland apartment. I've lived here for three years, and in recent months, the place has really gone downhill.

The complex does provide very large and spacious apartments, and the fixtures are, for the most part, at least adequate. But that's the story of the place at the best of times - "at least adequate." It's a very basic apartment. Many Kirkland apartments look identical (who cares if you're living in the Whispering Meadows or the Three Oaks or the [nice-sounding adjective][nature noun]'). This was just another one.

But, lately it's really gone to seed. The grounds were never nice to begin with (kinda junky and poorly lit), and they always had pretty draconian pool policies (what other complex doesn't have an open pool by July'!). Now, however, the noise level has shot off the scale, and the grounds are littered with... well, litter.

The price isn't good, either. You're paying for the way the complex USED to be (quiet, with large apartments) as opposed to the way it is now (noisy, with run-down apartments).

It needs a lot of improvements to warrent the hefty price tag.
