Nice, but expensive

I personally love Tera. The current management is amazingly friendly, and eager to make sure everything is as good as it can be. The building, its tenants, and the units themselves are great.
The apartment layout I have is great, and I always get comments like "Wow, your kitchen is amazing for an apartment this size". I have a balcony, though I face south so don't see anything exciting. There ARE a few units that have some view (or even a great view), but don't count on getting one. Instead, go to the rooftop patio and enjoy the view from there (but quietly; it's my roof!).
Noise... yeah if you face Central Way, you'll hear traffic. Likewise, if you have loud neighbours, you'll hear them too. But those who are saying the walls are paper thin obviously have marginal experience in apartment living - with reasonable neighbours you'll have little trouble.
Parking is scarce. Both lots are access-controlled which is nice for those with nicer cars, but you only get one spot. Visitors will have to park on the street, or more likely (since the streets are always packed), the plaza across the street).
Note, there's no facilities here. None. No pool. No gym. No business center. Nothing. This is probably by design - there's a gym across the street, a Kinkos right next to the leasing office, and a park under a block away. I chose the place knowing this, but if you're looking for the "all-inclusive package", look elsewhere.
The big downside of this place though is the price. You pay a lot for it, and all you get is the apartment. If you're looking for value for money, there are plenty of places in Redmond where you'll get a lot more for a lot less. But none of them will be right in downtown Kirkland nor will they have apartments as nice as these.
