I moved here four years ago. The rent was reasonable at $850 for a 2 bedroom 1 bath. And the setting here is beautiful. However, in the last 2 1/2 years has continuoesly jumped up. I know the economy is bad, but this is ridiculous. We now pay over 1200 for for our apartment. We are really paying to live in Kirkland near the hospital, which we don't need so we will be moving shortly. But for that much money you would expect nicer things. The fixtures in in the kitchen and bathroom are ancient and hidous, chipping everywhere and constantly molding. The appliances are the absolute cheapest, oldest and all around crappiest they could find. Never to be replaced only repaired. We have to buy expensive soaps for the dishwasher, to get dishes that we scrub, to not look dirtier then when we put them in. The oven is a joke, I never use it since it either is too hot or not hot enough. The fridge is no better. The tiny washer and dryer are just idiotic. My husband is a big guy, but I literally can only wash one pair of his jeans at a time. And the lint basket MUST be cleaned, and washed with soap and water after every use or the dryer does not dry. All laundry comes out smelling like mildew and stale clothes, no matter what I do. And then there is the mold. I have met 3 other residents who have moved due to mold in their apartments. We are looking for a new place because the mold has gotten SO bad here and we don't want another apartment with the same problem. And if you get an apartment away from the center of the complex, be prepared to be broken into. Don't worry, they will give you a stick to keep your slider shut.

We have lived at Totem Lake Heights for 2 years now, and NEVER had any problems! Kristy is always friendly and Wren is always willing to help us out when we need something fixed! I have a recieved all new appliances from them including a washer and dryer. All you have to do is ask! They ar very unbderstanding when it comes to rent prices... We just told Kristy that we wouldn't go over 1100 for our 2bed 1bath and we don't! The pool and grounds are always well kept and enjoy sitting on my balcony and watching the sunsets!

That's funny I never knew you could haggle a letter on your door stated your lease was up and rent was going up.I was doing ok myself at the 2 year mark. It wasn't until I rearranged the bedroom and found mass amounts of mold. I would complain but what's the point, we have too much stuff to move to another building. So we are desperately searching for some where else to go. The grounds are beautiful, the people are great. It would be nice if when I complained about the crap not working I got more than Wassh the lint basket, which yes, I litterally do after EVERY load of laundry. I am tiredd of the never ending cleaning here. Bleach down the bathroom weekly, four days later it's mildew city. The whole apartment stinks like skanky motel. And I spend over 150 a month on air freshner. Yes, I do keep the place clean, or I used to. I pretty much have given up since it is so exhausting and never changes. I would never again even think of paying 1100. 850 was fine. 950 was pushing it. Not only do I spend ridiculous amounts of money on air freshners and cleaners, I am constantly very sick because of the mold, costing me tons in health care. Great apartments. I fell in love when I moved in. Very scenic and pretty, just try and get a top floor, they seem to have a lesser chance of mold and issues.
