New management is bad so far
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 12/14/2006
Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006
The new management have been here for 1 month, and already we are seeing problems. The new management are quick to blame the old management for all problems (though I personally never had any problems while the old management were around) and the new staff appear inexperienced and arrogant when faced with a problem or criticism from a resident.
The largest annoyance is our keycards not working - and it has been over a month since the problem started. Residents were told that it was due to a 'power spike', but now the management say it's a human error. They have apparently fixed this problem twice now, and yet frequently we find that we are unable to get into the community or even into our apartment building!
The guest calling box at the gate shows the details of the previous resident who lived in our apartment 4 months ago instead of our details, so our guests are unable to call our apartment when they want to visit. We have asked the management to update this twice now, but it keeps getting erased during the apparent 'power spikes'.
Packages used to be logged and signed for at the leasing office, but new management seldom logs packages anymore which means that anyone could come and pick up our package and there would be no record of who collected it.
The website for this apartment community is also unmaintained now it seems. In the past residents would be able to submit maintenance requests, email the management, and pay rent online etc...but now the site is full of errors (maintenance request form never submits), and the email address no longer works.
On the whole, we have seen a decline in the quality of this apartment community since the new management took over. I sincerely hope that this improves over the next few months, or that the owners hire new staff...as it's an insult to have inexperienced staff running a 'premium' apartment community where residents pay a lot of money to live.
On the plus side, the apartments themselves are very nice - you just have to hope that you have no issues that require you to deal with the management.
