Good but needs improvement

I loved the Villaggio when I moved in 3 years ago. Since then, the rent (already expensive) has increased and the overall quality of living has decreased. Individual apartments have nice amenities and design features which convinced me to live there. I love the floorplans, the granite and marble touches, the crown molding, the automatic hot water spout, the electric fireplace, etc. The location is fabulous! However, the general feel of the complex really needs improvement. The grounds are very disappointing. They used to have beautiful trees planted in the courtyards which they took out 2 years ago and never replaced with anything - even though the staff kept saying that they were. Weeds are everywhere and extremely obvious - I'm surprised no one has called the noxious weed board on the management. Some of the plantings are dying due to negligence. The office staff could care less about the tenants - their only purpose is to sit pretty and collect money. They are VERY unhelpful. Everytime I go to use the office amenities provided for the tenants, there's something wrong such as the computers are broken, the movie theater is broken the paper shredder is broken, the pool last summer was barely warm enough to swim in. The worst thing is having a life outside your apartment - it's impossible to have guests over as there is no parking. So, my advice is to know what you are renting for the price. If none of the negatives bother you, then it's a great place to live.
