Where is the management'

Doesn't it seem odd that the last two positive reviews were posted on the exact same day and are very similar in length'
Maybe the management is in the office & doing something after all... just not managing property!
I rented in a smaller building managed by Watermark, called Highland Park Apartments and located on Kirkland Ave. The building was smaller but I was paying the same amount of rent as anywhere else with more amenities.
You can't get through to them for anything, even fundamental stuff you'd think they'd want to call you back on (questions re. rent received, moving in/out, etc.) How do you run an apartment business when you NEVER call back'
I think the building has an ant problem, there are definitely ants living in the walls and they come out in the bathrooms or kitchen occasionally. You get about 50 walking around and then a few days later they go. Don't bother calling about it, for reasons already stated.
Also beware the daytime street noise. There IS a lot of street noise, even though we're supposedly on a side street. It echoes up, and buses/trucks drive down the street regularly (its not a bus route street but they use it for off-route driving). It will wake you up in the morning if you are a med/light sleeper.
For what you get- a shoebox shape apartment, with road noise and absentee management, you could pay the same elsewhere and get a LOT more.
That said, the building seemed overall decent in terms of appliances and plumbing. You get underground parking, and more parking for guests out back. Things are kept up OK on the outside. My one experience with an actual maintenance guy was good, the catch is that to get to them you have to get through to the office (cough).
Neighbours keep to themselves (a good or bad thing depending on what you prefer). You can hear each other moving around, playing music (will softly come through), flushing the toilet/showering, but it's just the standard stuff of apartment life- no biggie. If someone has an argument or a door slams you can hear it, but again not a big deal.
