I write this review with the perspective of trying to save people the frustration of finding out things well after signing a lease. This review comes from an experienced apartment dweller (15 years). I thought I was cynical before but this experience has not helped my view of landlords.

Noise - The construction of this apartment is awful. There are stairs running between each group of four apartments (2 upper and 2 lower). If you live in the lower apartments you can hear every person going up and down the stairs (foot stomping and voices). The lower apartments also provide the additional ambience of listening to your second story neighbor stomp around the apartment, drop things, flush the toilet, take a shower, etc.

Fleas - A few days after being in this apartment I discovered I had a flea problem. I had to endure the flea infestation for a couple of weeks before the problem was addressed. The previous owner had cats the management did not know about.

Apartment Condition - When I moved in, the following things were evident: carpets were stained (yellow you couldn't see in the daylight), window screens shredded by previous owners cat, kitchen floor had large red discolorations. I am glad I take the documentation of the apartment's condition seriously.

Policies - Out of your deposit an automatic charge for cleaning the carpets of $60 dollars when you leave. If a wall needs to be repainted they have a pro-rated schedule based on # of months you have been a resident (6 months or less - 100%, etc.)

Facilities - The amenities touted leave something to be desired. The basketball and raquetball courts are in poor shape. You can barely bounce a ball and the hoop is only nine feet high. The fitness equipment is from the late 70's with little room to move around.

Electrical - The wiring in this apartment is poor. You can't run more than a couple things at a time between the kitchen, bedroom, living room, and bathroom without tripping the circuit.

Heat - The insulation properties of this apartment are awful as well. The heaters and thermostats work poorly.
