During these rough economic times, people cannot afford to spend money on frivolous items. People cannot even afford to pay their mortgage; hence the record breaking numbers of foreclosures. What does Lacey Park Apartment in Lacey WA say', "let's raise the rent". Rent was raised $40.00 during the summer months of 2009. If there is anything that says "we don't care about our tenants" it's raising the rent during a time of struggle. Vacancies grew to such a high number that the rent was lowered by $100.00 to attract new tenants. But what about the loyal tenants that stayed' What about those tenants that could not afford moving costs that they stayed and signed another lease' Property manager says, "there's nothing I can do." The first of every month, I write a check for an apartment that I rented in July 2009 that is $100.00 more than the person who rented in September of 2009. Property manager states that Ft. Lewis troop population is what impacts the rent rates. I am not military. I do not get a housing subsidy. I wanted to say thank you to Lacey Park Apartments for caring about their tenants. They are truly give a sense of community. It is a pleasure to live there. Recommendations all around.

Quality residents are given the opportunity to enjoy the discounts new residents receive when their lease expires. Rates are determined by the vacancies. I am sorry this writer is unhappy. She renewed her lease and expected to uphold it as do our vendors who we pay each month. We set our budget by the income we have on our leases. We do run a business and provide quality housing and management. Suzy is as friendly stop by and see for yourself!

I have to agree. My fiancee' and I moved into a small one bedroom apartment in August '08 because we were expecting our first child the end of August. Rent then was 715, which is a lot if you ask me for a small 600 sq ft. apartment. All of a sudden I saw that they raised the price to 730 a month! Luckly we didn't have to pay that. But because of that, we were not about to sign a new lease! We found a bigger 2 bed 1 1/2 bath 1,200 sq ft. for 725! Cheaper than we would have had to pay if we signed a new lease there! They told us we had to turn in our leaving notice 30 days before leaving and we would only have to pay half rent. Well, I turned it in 31 days before our leaving notice. We went to pay rent that next month, only half amount, when they told us we didn't get it in in time so we had to pay a full 715 for a week of living in that place! And like they said, now they have lowered their prices A LOT! only to attract people and the moment they have enough, they will end up making it more again! It was okay but I wouldn't live there again...
