RUN AWAY....as fast as you can

I would NOT recommend these apartments to anyone. Not even my enemy. They are an older apartment neighborhood and although appear to be all nice and quiet and set in a secluded wooded setting, run, and run as fast as you can the other way. I have been renting an apartment now for 7 months now and can't wait for my lease to end up. The main apartment manager tyrae or whatever her name is, is completely rude. I simply asked to have something faxed for me one day to the housing authority office and I was told that (1) it isn't their job to fax anything for me and (2) that she was "off and to speak to someone else" as she rudely walked away from me. They play favoritism amongst tenants and the maintenance takes a week or more to get done. They fixed something in the apartment for me only for it to be broken yet again the following couple of days. Half ass maintenance work if you ask me. They allow tons of cats to roam the property and since the cats are outside cats, they use the flower beds as their litter box. You can guess what that smells like trying to walk up the steps to your apartment. They also allow tenants to have furniture outside their deck that is not outside items and it looks quite trashy over time. They also let people hang things from their windows (blankets, broken blinds etc.) and this looks trashy as well. I would definently not move into this neighborhood unless you're desperate and can't find anywhere else to live. I got this clouded vision before I moved in that it was nice, but once you move in, its a whole different story. Yeah, they might have renovated the apartments, but new carpet and new linoleum won't replace the trashy and rude managers they have working in the office. And that's Manager not managers to be exact. Run away....as fast as you can!!!

I completely agree with the previous posting, Summer Ridge is terrible. I'm looking to move but having a hard time financially so it's hard to get out of here! They want to raise my rent to $800 for a two bedroom place, this community is old and needs renovated, I'm not getting anything in return for my rent being raised except for a leek in the roof! They call themselves a "low-income" community? Then why are there better deals ALL over town? Management is a B*tch and maintanance has no knowledge of what theyre doing, and yes, they do take about a week to respond. I'm also constantly getting notices on my door, SEVERAL times a year for them coming up with excuses to enter my apartment. It's horrible here.
