Living at Surrey Lane is not worth it. I had to clean when I moved in. When I walked through my apartment with the manager when I moved in, I pointed out the dirty windows and cobwebs in the corners of cabinets, the dirt in the corners of carpets, etc. She told me it would be taken care of before I moved in, but it wasn't. So I had to take care of it myself. She is not very professional, either. She likes to talk about her personal life a lot. Like I care' She is hardly ever in the office so trying to get my rent paid or request something be repaired is often very difficult. Even if she is in the office (which is VERY rare) she is sitting there with the same girl that lives here just talking. It makes it very uncomfortable to talk business with someone sitting right there listening to everything you are saying. The "screening process" must be very simple to pass since this seems to be the place every unsavory person ends up. Loud, rude, dirty people. The laundry room is a hassle to use. There are nowhere near enough machines for the amount of people living here. And if you are even one second late getting your things out of the washer or dryer, someone will take them out and put your stuff on top of the machine or even on the floor. I even had things stolen. Parking is a complete nightmare. It's often very difficult to find a spot anywhere near your apartment and it's disgusting to smell when people are working on their cars. Overall, this is not worth it. The rent is definitely cheap but there is a reason for it. I can't wait to move!!!
