Horrible moving out experience

I signed a 12 month lease. My husband was deployed to Iraq and while he was gone I approached the management about leaving my lease 2 months early to move closer to my family so I would have some help with my two kids while he was gone. They informed that there would be no problem leaving my lease early, that being able to rent it would be no problem because there was a waiting list for 2 bedrooms. I was assured over and over of this. After I moved, they sent me a bill for the two months rent. Now I was paid until the end of December, I moved out December 15. They sent me a bill for the remaining months 3 days after I moved out. There was no attempt to rent the unit and why would I owe Januarys rent in the middle of December'' Don't believe anything they tell you. Was the worst experience I've had with management before, I was lied to. And because of the lies they told me my credit is suffering. All I got was "I'm sorry I misled you".
