If your boyfriend moved in as an unauthorized tenant you are breaking the agreement in which you personally signed to not allow unauthorized tenants. Many properties in Lakewood [& other counties] are crime-free certified housing and I understand that this means the properties do not approve people with felonies or criminal history [if this is why you don't want to add him]...in my experience living in higher crime areas [Yikes!]this is a great policy to adopt as I found that these properties have tenants that are respectful, courteous and quiet! when on the other hand...there is break ins, yelling/foul language/driving on property grounds/ignoring policies and disrespect to neighbors and management.
In the end, just put him on the rental agreement and pay the screening - you'll be helping out his rental history if you pay rent on time - or move out.
