Village at Seeley Lake

Pretty good, but felt unsafe

I found the Village when passing by on the way to look at another apartment complex. This was our first apartment and it was VERY impressive with its million amenities, only one of which (fitness room) we actually ended up using in the 1.5 years my husband and i lived there. The pool and hot tub were always a little bit foggy. The grounds are nice, it's very close to shopping/restaurants/etc (which can be good and bad), it's BIG, and a little more expensive than what we're looking for now. We got a good deal when we first moved in for being military plus a special that was going on.
Noise problems were with the neighbors bumping the bass and stupid dogs barking in the middle of the night. Never had a problem with parking, maintenence, or management.
Two things encouraged me to move out. First was the high price for a 2 bedroom (we needed more space than the 1). Second was that I stopped feeling safe. There was a murder (domestic) in the next apartment, and car prowls, but what really bothered me (as a woman) was the random rape that occurred in the parking lot. At least the management warned the other tenants about that.
Overall, it was nice with some bad Lakewood apples.
