Pros and Cons

I have lived in these apartments for a few months now... The leasing agent was really nice... she showed us some apartments, I chose one.. a price was given to us and we handed over a $200 non refundable fee... a day later the leasing agent called us and said she had made a 'mistake' and our rent was actually $50 more a month... so we moved in... and its an ok apartment... but weird things are wrong.. like my heater is all screwed up... my bathroom fan doesnt work.. the toilet doesnt flush and the dryer doesn't dry... then my rent is raised agian... instead of the original $723 a month now its $800 ... after a few days of living here I also noticed my carpet changed color... it was a nice pretty tan... now it's spotted brown and grey... Also.. There are no street lights here, or sidewalks... the parking spaces are tiny (every car here has been hit at one point) In order to send mail you have to walk or drive to the office because the boxes on the buildings are in-mail only...
On the other hand there is a gym (that I don't use) a baskett ball court (I don't use that either) A pool (It's closed) A play ground, New plants, Covered parking (assuming your space hasn't been stolen) And a Washer/Dryer in every apartment...
But you could also rent a decent house with some of these things... and if you're in the military you can use their gym... I'd say don't settle here. Keep looking.
