You do not want to live here! Trust Me!

My husband and I moved here from SC. Having never been here before, it seemed like a nice community at first. Shortly after moving in, our heater broke. When we had it off, heat would still come out and the room smelt like smoke. We turned the heaters off, and placed a work order for it to be fixed. I went to the office in person, so they would know the seriousness of it. I told a worker in the office, that it needed to be fixed immediately, because I was concerned if it did not get fixed very soon, that our apartment was very likely to burn down. They said they would fix it right away. I also gave them permission to enter in the event we were not at home. So, we arrive home that evening, and it is still not fixed. Our wall then was so hot to the touch, that we could not even touch the wall next to the heater or we would burn our hand. We decided to call the office first thing in the morning. While finishing up a late dinner, our heater burst into flames! We called 911 to put out the fire, we had to also call emergency maintenance to fix it, and we had to turn our breakers off to try and stop this electrical fire. The next day I find out, we were not on the top of the list, because the individual that had placed the work order, did not put in any of the specifics of the problem we had discussed, other than (heater problem). How Ridiculous! The following week, we had placed a work order for our bathroom door underneath the sink. It had fallen completely off. I wait patiently for one week. It still had not been fixed, and I had not heard anything, so I went back up to the office. They checked on my work order, and O My Goodness! A work order had never been placed! and after they had told me they had the work order complete! After this, it still takes them two days to get out to fix it! Not to mention we have only been living here for eleven months, and our hallway closet door, our screen door to our balcony, and our closet door in the kids room, has had to be repaired several times. Instead of fixing things for real, they fix it so it holds for a little while, because things are always breaking! Like the time our front door knob came off right in my hand, as I was turning to open it! Now for the ammenities! The hot tub and pool that is meant to be year round, is Out Of Order most of the time! Not to mention how absolutely disgusting it is when you find condoms in the water or laying around pool side. Now, here we are, ready to move out next month. Our lease is finally up! We put in our 30 day notice on Dec. 30th that we would be out by the end of our term. (Feb. 4th, of 2009) They tried to tell us that we had to sign a new lease, cause our paper work for our notice was turned in too late to be leaving Jan. 4th. They deliberately put our paper work in wrong to try and rope us into another lease! This topped everything off! Now, on the brighter side, if you choose to still live here and disregard all these warnings, have Margarito handle all your business associated with Village at Seeley Lake. He is truly the only honest individual in that office that is there to help rent out an apartment. I say that because there is one other person, but she works in book keeping. I do not know her name, but she is a very nice lady, and has been very considerate of our family. Also, the older maintenance man is also a very kind man, but is never given the proper information from the office so he can properly follow up on work orders. This, of course, is not his fault. As you can see, the bad greatly out weighs the good! Especially since school age kids around here do not know how to behave and are constantly beating up on younger or smaller children, and uses terrible language. I had to break up one fight, because 5 middle school girls, were beating up one girl, by kicking her, punching her, and pulling her hair while they all had her pinned to the ground. Apartment security should have taken care of this, but, once again, they did not do anything about it! They simply said it was our problem to deal with! (Our) meaning, us parents. I am apalled at how they run their business!

I think leann is the one leaving condoms around the hot tub area, each time I turn around she is with a new soldier (oh wait does she even use condoms?)
