After reading this site prior to moving out I was aware that the complex charged for petty cleaning issues. I took two days cleaning the place from top to bottom. I even cleaned the washer and the dryer inside and out with bleach water after reading reviews that stated they were charged for such a service. Two weeks after moving out I got my refund check. A whopping $20. They charged me $30 to clean the washer and the dryer stating they were "dirty". They also charged $40 for my last water bill. I lived there all alone and had paid no more than $30 for water/sewer all year. I guess they do rip you off. Its best to just plan on not getting any deposit back and not waste your time making sure the place is clean.

Also be careful with the ground floor units. Mine had a cracked foundation which they just stuck the carpet on top of. My heating bills were very high and I found out why when I got an ant hill in the middle of my bedroom. They sent over an exterminator but did not repair the cracked floor.
