Ok so everyone will have a different experience and I'm not saying that these people are overreacting, but I personally never ran into any real issues over the two past years that I've been here. I do agree that there are too many college students that live here so you do get some parking issues on Friday and Saturday nights, but if you're willing to park in the front near the office there is often enough parking. I've never had my car or friend's cars towed...so I can't speak to that experience. We've not been robbed or had our car broken into, we've not encountered loud/noisy neighbors at all hours of the night and generally the only reason we're moving is because of the huge jump in rent. I've enjoyed my time at Avalon Brandemoor and if the rent went back down to a reasonable amount, I would gladly move back. It sucks that some people had such horrible experiences, but apartment shopper please keep in mind that these are NOT everyone's experience. One of the things I often do when I go apartment hunting is try to bump into people that live in the complex and talk to them. I'll ask the property office if I can walk around and I'll talk to people at the rec area or by the mailbox...it's always helped me, even if it does sound a little weird. I also try to look for places where someone from the office actually lives in the complex because that often speaks volumes for the quality of the complex. Anyway, I hope this helps you to make a wise decision. I'm not saying that Avalon is the best there is, but I definitely have lived in much much worse.
