When you move out, they take basically $500.00 of your deposit. As an example, they charged me $95.00 for cleaning (and I cleaned the apartment 6-7 hours before I left, but I neglected to clean the ceiling fan, the window tracks, etc.), $150.00 for painting (which only one wall was a little scuffed up), $120 for carpet cleaning (downstairs was the only place that needed to be cleaned) -- and I was only there a year!! It should have been ordinary wear and tear and I should not have been charged and gotten my full deposit back. They also said they would give me a copy of the invoices for all of this cleaning, which they never intended on sending as I've yet to receive anything from them even though I sent them a letter via certified mail requesting it. They CHARGE EVERYONE for every little thing they can get away with. I'm so DISGUSTED with this community, I've got to end this message before it gets even longer than it already is!

Call Freemont Public Association for free legal counsel on your rights, call the local tenants union, and see if you can file a complaint with HUD. Don't be the Prey, be the Predator in these situations. You can do just as much damage back as they are trying to do to you.

I totally disagree wih you. I lived at Wildwood and had no such problems with moving out. I got my entire deposit back less my final utility bill. I found the management to be awesome & very helpful. I moved in 2005, so I don't know about the new people or community's condition..I just know I really enjoyed my stay there. If people don't like where they live....move!! I only moved because I purchased a home..otherwise I'd still be there. Decide for yourself..don't take what others say to seriously!
