We moved to Canyon Springs over the summer. Our first impressions were excellent. The grounds are very nice. We like watching the ducks in the creek. We like the community functions that are put on monthly. The community features are decent as well. We do love living here, almost everyone we meet is friendly. Plus the management and staff are excellent. It takes maintenance no time what so ever to fix and respond to work orders. The ladies up front know us by name and are helpful with any situation we discuss with htem, whether it is finding a good restraruant in the area or a complaint that we have. They are the best we have had in management in all the 7 (cumulative) apartments my husband and I have rented in our past.
However, with every apartment complex you will have problems. Parking isnt necessarily an issue if you don't mind walking a little further than normal if you get in late or paying for covered spots. There are the usual insullation problems any wood framed building will have,for instance, we can hear people above us walking around, going to the restroom, or listening to the radio and the people below us slamming their door (it rattles our apt) and having heated arguments. But you expect to hear your neighbors and these sounds...its an apartment not a house!
The only complaint we have about the place is the smoking policy. We don't smoke, but our neighbors below us do. That stench of stale smoked out apartment infiltrates our apartment if we have our windows open. Now that it is winter, I don't think we will have our windows open, but I suppose when Spring comes around our apartment will once again become rank with the odor of the smokers below as it did all summer and fall. But because the circulation is so bad, they should only allow smokers on the top floors or in the same buildings. That would alleviate this problem.

I USED TO LIVE AT CANYON SPRINGS. MY OPINION IS THAT THEY ARE AGGRESIVE IN RENT INCREASES AND IN RETURN YOU GET: * CROWDED PARKING (SOME UNITS ARE ALLOWED MULTIPLE CARS) * THE USUAL LYNNWOOD PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH THE AREA (VANDALISIM, THEFT, CRIME ETC.) YOU WILL NOT GET MUCH MORE FOR YOUR MONEY IN RETURN. ALSO, WATCH YOUR DEPOSIT THEY WILL KEEP IT IF YOU LET THEM!!!!
