Canyon Springs should be a wonderful place to live.
But, it isn't.
Perhaps it is appropriate this month of tricks and treats that the manager is "cracking down" with more of her edicts. These edicts wouldn't be necessary if she hadn't run off our desirable neighbors with exorbitant rent increases. She replaced these wonderful people with a bunch of lowlife tenants who can't make the rent. So, she permits more than the legally allowed number of people to live in one apartment.
Canyon Springs used to be a quiet, peaceful place to live. Now, we have our own pint-sized street gang of hellions. Their parents are too immature to supervise these brats or comprehend boundaries or respect for their neighbors and the property. They allow these little monsters to intentionally try to kill animals by throwing rocks at them. They don't comprehend that skateboarding down our steep hills is dangerous.
Yes, we have many wonderful neighbors with super kids. But, this gang of brats spoils it for everybody.
The manager failed to timely address drug dealing on the property. As a result, our mail is not safe. Crime has escalated.
She has no clue how to deal with these problem tenants. She micromanages and fails to delegate. Therefore, problems fester until they explode or implode. She periodically brings out her cannon to shoot a fly of a minor issue. At the same time, she fails to deal with very real, major, hazardous problems like drainage issues that cause apartments to flood. When the mold in apartments sends tenants to the hospital, she allows them to move to another apartment on the property. Then, she rents these same mold-infested apartments to new, unsuspecting tenants who probably wonder why they feel sick all the time. It's the mold, folks.
She has a reputation of being extraordinarily vindictive toward tenants who complain about legitimate problems or who criticize her in any way. Some tenants are favorites who can do whatever they please. Most tenants walk on eggshells fearful of the Gestapo-like mentality of the management. Rules can be changed in an instant to punish tenants who cross her or her staff.
The heart of the problem is that the manager is in way over her head. She has no clue how to manage a property this large and complex. She is so obsessed with cosmetic issues that make the property appear to be well-maintained for future tenants that she fails to spend money on long-standing, hazardous maintenance problems with the infrastructure of the property.
She perceives suggestions meant to be helpful as attacks on her character and retaliates inappropriately. It all makes for very unpleasant living at a place that could be and should be quite tranquil.

Very nicely stated and I completely agree with you. Oh yeah, what is a "vehicle prowl"? I hope the manager isn't trying to downplay the increase in stolen vehicles by using the term "vehicle prowl." There are no prowling vehicles, there are however vehicles getting ripped off and this happens frequently.....oh but that's normal according to her. It happens everywhere.
