This complex was nice at first. It seemed to have a cosy feel to it. But a couple months after we moved in our car was stolen right from in front of our apartment. The comment from the staff was to "take the battery out of your car at night", and "get an alarm".

The "security" is anything but. They drive through the complex at night every couple of hours. (Is it just me or can a car, or anything else for that matter, be stolen in a lot less than a couple hours'!) After this happened we found out from neighbors that cars have been stolen many times from Country Gables. Yet, when I asked, at the begining, the staff reassured me that there had been no theft or violence in a couple years.



My last complaint is about their renewal process. We got a notice in the mail that we had 12 days to decide if we wanted to stay at Country Gables,or if we would like to leave. No big deal, right' The catch was that if we wanted to stay we would have to sign a new lease. If we wanted to go month to month our rent would increase $170 and we would have to pay $100/month month-to-month fee. So, of course we decided to move, but the point is is that we only had 12 days to decided this. I don?t know about others, but I really don?t like to be pressured into where I?m going to live. That?s the last thing that I need to be pressured about.



In conclusion I want to say this: remember to research and ask all the question you can think of before you sign a lease.
