Word of warning about Country Gables.

I have lived at the Country Gables for about a yr and a half. In that time, my vehicle was broken into twice, had the windows shot out of it with a BB Gun once, and towed away from the on street parking, which cost me $1300.00. If you move in here, and you decide to park on the street, A. Pay close attention to the No Parking signs, B. Make sure to check on your vehicle every couple days, because the Snohomish Co. Sheriffs Dept. (who by the way could care less about you and your vehicle, unless they are issuing a ticket)likes to tow away vehicles that they deem "Abandoned" basically, if you do not own a brand new car, then it's a pile of junk to them, and they will call it abandoned, and mark it to be impounded within 24hrs. If you do not respond to the tag they left on it (even if your, like say your out of town for a very good reason) off it will go. When you ask them why they did that, they will say they got a call from someone saying that there are a bunch abandoned vehicles left on the street, which is bull. My towing bill was originally $2950.00, and taking it to court, and hiring an attorney didn't make an difference. The judge in Lynnwood South Dist. court is an total jerk. Best thing you can do is get it out of the towing company's impound yard right away, and then take it to court. The towing companies like to come in at about 3:00am, and tow away cars in the complex, so if you forget to put your little tag on your rear view mirror, you can probably kiss your vehicle goodbye, and expect to pay $$$$ to get it back. Same goes with any of your guest vehicles, which cannot be parked in the complex without a tag. Only one tag, per car, per person in an apartment, with a maximum of two tags. Nice huh. Just remember what I said about the on street parking. If you live on the first or second floor apartments, be ready to deal with the upstairs floors in your neighbors apartment to annoy the hell out of you because it's probably going to be loose, and constantly creek, and pop when they walk across it. Top floor would be the best in my opinion. The dumpsters are constantly full, and rather than call and have them dumped more often, they just send out warnings to the tenants that if they see anyone putting garbage on the ground in the dumpster containment areas, they will be fined. I guess your just supposed to let the garbage build up in your apartment...what ever saves them a buck I guess. I hope your not into working out, because ALL the weight room equipment needs to be replaced. It looks like it's from the early 80s. Some of it don't work at all, or is in need of some repair. The stationary bikes have the friction band on the wheels...you know, the ones you have to tighten up to cause more resistance while your peddling them. I think those went out of style around 20 years ago. My rent was raised $75.00 in the time I lived here, and I find that to be ridiculous. I would never live here again.
