Wow these reviews are pretty harsh.....

I've been living here for a while now in the "DD" building and I am glad I am not getting some of the problems as some of you. As a matter of fact, I'm not having any of these problems. I may be wrong but maybe some of theses reviews are being written by tennants that just like to complain alot,I dont know.

All I know is that I go to work every day and I pay my rent on time,in fact I have NEVER been late with my rent. Gezzz,they give you till the 4th to pay the rent and if you dont know...you have till midnight to get it in the mailbox. Well,there is no-one working at that time. So, if your pay falls on the 5th and you have direct dep. then gezzz write the check and drop it off before they open.

I don't have any problems with the people in the office. But maybe that's because I'm not in there on a daily basis complaining about issues. I mean if you have serious issues then by no means report them. If you have Maint. problems then report them, I totally understand that.

As far as Candace (lead mgr),She has been pleasant with me. I would not accept anything else from anyone. From her nor anyone else I meet on a daily basis. If your rude to me,then,I'm rude to you. If I have any dealings with the office I usually talk to Tracy. She has been there since I've moved in and she takes care of my needs. The only time I would ever go to the Mgr (Cadace) is if her workers are not following thru with there job. Like maint. issues or neighbor problems. Don't go in with an attitude or demanding the world stops for you. There are over 400 units here,there is only so much they can do in a day.

I read a comment to a posting that someone wrote that the person had to be a friend of Candace. Well,I am not a friend. I'm just a tenant and she is just a Mgr of a building I live at. We don't go out for dinner and drinks...and send each other Christmas Cards....LMAO.

Now do I see improvments that need to change?

YES,

1 is the trash...It can get out of hand at times. Solution,put and extra can in each of the area's so trash does not pile up on the ground. And on that note,I have personally seen tenants that throw there own trash on the ground because they are to lazy or stupid to lift the lid to the trash can. Maybe they have the disease of hypochondriac.

2 is Maint. issues. I like to be home when a stranger enters my home. I say that because the only Maint. person I know personally is Joe. No offence to the others. And all I expect is that when the office personel tell me there coming on a specific day,they please come or give me a call to tell me you can't make it so I can do something with my day off.

3 is the heating elements in units and thermostats are out of date and thermostats need to be changed. I often come home to very cold or very hot home because thermo (in my unit) don't kick on & off correctly.


That's about it...They rent me a unit,I pay my rent on time. They don't bother me and I don't bother them. Overall,I'm pretty happy here and plan to sign on for a 3rd year.

I live in a different apartment complex one block away from Keeler's. I love my apartment/community and I must say the trash situation here is outragous as well. Come on... over 200 units and a limited amount/sized trash bins with what is it weekly pick up? There are going to be common issues while renting in an apartment community. I agree with this review of... live within the guidlines and rules and you will have a successful time being a renter. Of course if you are paying rent you also want a safe, clean and well maintained apartment. You want your legit complaints to be taken seriously and responded to in a timely manner. Also no matter in what city/community you live in you want the police to take crime busting seriously and respond to illegal actions fast.

This is exactly the problem. Keelers is not a safe, clean, well maintained enviornment. The management won't take your complaints seriously and won't do anything to help you. In fact, they'll do whatever they can to screw you when you move out. If Keelers wants better reviews on this site, they really should stop posting shill reviews and actually help their tenants for a change.
