Good place to live if you do not have a vehicle

I have lived here for 7 months. I work odd hours, usually from 3pm to 1am. When we moved in they told me there would be no problem finding a uncovered parking spot, so my girlfriend and I did not bother buying a covered spot. When I would get home I might have to park a couple of buildings away, but that was fine. My car was broken in to 4 times but I figured that was part of living right of hwy 99. One time, after my car was broken into I asked a Keelers Apt. personell if I should report it. He said my car was a honda and they get broken into all the time. Eventually I could not find a spot when I got home from work. So I parked in a spot that I knew was not taken (next to the yummy smelling dumpster that is over flowing). So they towed my car. No warning. No sorry for telling you there would be a undercover spot that we promised you, just a 250.00 tow bill to get your car and be late for work. Gets worse. They would not even help me out with a spot after that. They told me that it was my fault, because I did not buy a spot. So I was forced to buy a parking spot for $35 a month. I have this spot for one week and so far there has been someone elses car parked there 2 nights, and my car got broken into again for the 5th time. They take the time to make sure that you are in a unpaid spot and tow your car, but they do not car if you if your car gets broken into repeatedly. Besides the parking situation the noise from hwy 99 and 164 ave is noisy. Cars race on both streets at all times of the night. Sirens down 99 are a nightly occourance. On the plus side the ceilings are high. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!

Car prowels are a high occurrance especially at an apartment parking lot. I do not live at Keeler's, I live one block away but I have experienced this situation twice and have learned from it the first time. NO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING PERSONAL IN YOUR CAR EVER! Sad but true. This happened to me 12 yrs ago while i was a student in high school and the second time it happened to my boyfriend who left his burned CD's and a packed gym bag in his truck. I even get fearful someone will take my 13 month olds car seat or stroller. I do take out my stroller but the car seat is a bit more complicated to take in and out all the time. Make sure you leave NOTHING personal in your car, use your alarm as well as after market anti left/locking devices.
