Terrible Place to Live

I should have known moving in that there would be problems. A neighbor's stereo was shaking our bedroom wall all day. This did not stop for three months. We complained to the management over a dozen times and nothing happened. We had to resort to calling security to stop the music. After doing that, we were threatened and one of my tires mysteriously got a nail in it overnight. The management did nothing. This only stopped when the neighbors decided to move to a better building - in the meantime we endured hell. A couple months after that the neighbors beneath stared blaring their music at all hours everyday. Again, nothing helped and we had to live with the noise until we moved out. Trying to get a piece of quiet and relaxation after a taxing day at work was near impossible.
The complex is far from safe. I saw the police there on more occasions than I can count. Lighting was poor because burnt-out bulbs were not replaced for awhile; going out after dark was an adventure. Cars were broken into with regularity. A neighbor had his car broken into twice in the span of a month. Domestic disputes often spill out into the parking lot.
The office never took resposiblity for anything. In the lease, it specifies that disable vehicles cannot be parked on the premises but, a van with shattered windows and four flat tires sat in the same place from the day I moved in until the day I moved out. It took up a primo spot too. The van had been there so long that it was actually growing mold on it. There are covered spots for an extra fee but parking restrictions for those were never enforced. I saw a single car without a permit take up 3 stalls overnight. Complaints to management went unheeded. Trying to park within the rules of the lease left you far away from your place.
Every maintenence request was ignored. We had to fix the door, the toilet, etc... ourselves. There wouldn't have been so many issues if they had built the place with sturdier materials (see other reviews).
Children run unsupervised throughout the complex - pounding outside your windows or doors, riding obscenely loud motor scooters in circles in the parking lot, screaming, damaging cars and property, shooting off fireworks months before and after the 4th.
I would never, never, never live here again. I would advise you to run the other direction. After my experience, I am going to avoid the whole county.
