I moved into Winterhill Apartments when they were brand new. I really liked the apartment within itself. However, after a few months when all the Section 8 people started to move it the place went downhill. There were people screaming rape in the middle of the night, cops always there, bad parking and no solution offered such as assigned parking. Theft was high.
I actually had someone break into my apartment while I was on the phone in my room. They picked up the phone in the bedroom and started to press the buttons. Luckily the person I was talking to was able to contact the police. I was notified that this was happening a lot.
I would not reccommend this apartment complex due to the people that live there and the fact they do not respect the property. Most of them do not have to pay rent so it means nothing to them to deface the property.
The gym was good but had a problem with vandelism. In addition, they locked the free weights up and the office was always closed so you could not use them. It was a big issue when you requested to use them.
Pool was too small and had no lawn chairs.

Regarding phones. This was a huge problem. You had to pay for a the regular phone company to come out and install a phone line for you and activate it. In addition, they had to be there the same time as their "provided" company to give them access. The phone service they provided was that like being in an office and having extensions. It was horrible and spendy. They trick you with paperwork to try and get you to sign up.
