I like 'em

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
My brother and I began renting from Woodgate back in June 2006. I'm now moving out on my own and I'm having a hard time trying to find an apartment comparable to these. It is an old type apartment, with shag carpets and every apartment looks slightly different.
We have a few friends that rent there and our apartments vary with tiling, cabinetry etc. For me it's fine, the walls are thick enough. The only thing you can ever hear is people coming up/down the stairs opposite you.
It's not really a noisy place. The train is the only problem but I guess you get used to it.
Our neighbors are nice, we were greeted with pop-sicles on a hot summer day and an old guy with stories, and a single father with his kids who were all very nice.
It's a townhouse and it's kind of nice having two stories. Bedrooms/bathroom upstairs, living room/ kitchen downstairs.
The big bedroom has a closet so big you can fit a full size bed in it, fill it with mad stuff, or even suggested was a nursery.
Plenty of closet space.
Donna, the manager responds to anything you ask and you can find her easily since she's usually running around with her wind-blower or lawn mower.
She's professional and caring, and responded to our needs since my brother was taking care of me at the time, she made exceptions.
The price is right for the size and from what I've seen from apartments, it's better than most brick apts, or any of those older apts.
The only problem we've had and have heard of is the leaking. Our shower would leak into the downstairs kitchen cabinets which was kind of frustrating, but she tried to fix it and when that didn't work we got our friend to do it, only a 20$ fix. Not too bad.
Overall, I really wish I didn't have to leave, but I love my dog and that's the only real negative is that cats are acceptable but dogs are not. Otherwise, I love those apartments and wish there were more affordable townhouses like it. qmzu4EHcaGAPVCPw2Fai
