If you are looking for an overpriced, cheaply constructed, noisy apartment, you will be very happy at Island Square Apts. After you sign you 187 page lease and promise them your first born, you are given nothing but empty bags of promises and excuses for the pathetic management and poorly executed construction. BEWARE, when you go on your tour, everything will appear bright and shiny. But after you move in, your world will slowly start to unravel. Leaky dishwashers, uneven doors, thin walls, and bad wiring are only the beginning. Two bedroom apts are not even wired for cable in the second bedroom (what the hell'). The parking situation is a mess. Instead of assiging parking based on the time of occupancy etc, parking is a free for all unless you pay an additional ABSURD fee (on top of what they already charge for parking). People who rent the premium apts ont he higher floors are treated significantly betetr then the serfs on the bottom floors. Take my advice, if you are going to rent at Island Square, rent on a higher floor. They are outfitted with the berber carpet, as opposed to the cheap crap that is installed on lower floors, as well as nicer appliances. I really do not understand management companies/owners who charge a premium for a rental and then have a heirarchy of amenities offered on floors. People are paying throught their teeth, why can't you just spend an extra few bucks on every apartment and make them ALL FIRST CLASS' Basically, this management company is trying to make as much money as possible, while offereing as little as possible to the resident. You will pay for EVERYTHING you see and most things you do not, so be careful before you sign on the dotted line.
