About 3 months after moving in we were informed that the management had changed and that we would now be required to pay water bills. The first month was @ $40 and the second was $60; the 3rd month the bill was $160 and has been $160 since then. The whole building was up in arms about the bills and the manager promised a solution and then never delivered on any solutions. The manager is lazy and unprofessional and will not return a call if your life depended on it. If you are lucky enough to catch her in the office, she will relent and ,with the worst beside manner of anyone I have had the misfortune of meeting, give you a minor concession ($5 to $7). The office will not solve any issue you bring to their attention. The occupancy is very low in the building and I am sure they are seriously hurting for money. The hot tub was broken for the first 6 months we were here. We rented at $1600 for a one bedroom and a one month free concession. This same apt is being listed on craig's list for $1199 with a month free daily. The prices have plummeted. I have 2 months left on my lease and if the management of these apts wasn't so bad, I would consider renewing at the much lower rates only because the grounds are pretty and the location is excellent. But don't fall into this trap. It is a bit like a meat eating flower. The neighbors are noisy and the lower rates have attracted college aged kids who congregate in the courtyards and smoke at all hours of the night hooting and laughing. If you like to crack the window to sleep at night you will be awakened nightly with the smell of smoke and mundane chatter of adolescents. I am really unhappy here, but the alternatives aren't perfection. I will be leaving in 2 months and I am hopefully optimistic that I can find something a bit less of hassle and less expensive. If you are very tolerant and have money to waste, then this is the place for you!
