I moved to Mercer Island a couple of months ago and have been pretty happy. Shorewood is an older apartment complex, but its really cute, and the location is great. I was surprised to find out I could use the carpool lane just for living on the Island. I was glad that I could bring both my dogs and there seems to be a lot of open grassy areas to take them potty. I think my apartment is a great deal, especially considering the area is so expensive.
