Mistake after mistake!

We've lived here ONE WEEK and have had nothing but problems. The first was our signed "welcome letter" stating our monthly rent. We got a call the day after we signed it saying that rent was supposed to be more. The manager had written down the sale prices wrong so the leasing consultant unknowingly gave us the wrong price. NOT OUR FAULT right'! We came into the office to sort things out only to be verbally attacked by the Assistant Manager. She was rude and condescending and seemed to be on some kind of power trip. She told us that she could easily rent out that apartment to someone else and handed us back our deposit checks. The only reason we even considered still living here was because the poor leasing consultant chased us out into the parking lot and convinced us to speak to the Manager, who then honored the amount shown on our welcome letter. Next issue - our lease. Whoever entered the information into the computer, supposedly entered it wrong. The lease WE SIGNED listed a lesser amount for the pro-rate than what they are claiming we owe them now. We figured it's their fault. Their employee entered the info wrong into the computer, why do we have to pay for their mistake' Plus, the lease is a binding contract so there is no way they could get more money than what is stated on the lease. So what do they do' They threaten to give us late charges every month until we pay the amount that they want. We broke down and paid them in order to keep a clean rental history. But I fully intend on taking this to small claims court. I'm that upset about it. I hate this place. I can't believe I have to stay here for a whole year. Do not move here. The apartments are not worth the rent. The staff will most definitely be more of a pain then helpful. 3mPoZ6gGN6wTPgNi4L2C

I'd look for a new place to live pronto. Absolutely unnacceptable behaviour. I know because I lived there. So glad I moved out of that slum! Office staff was more interested in socializing among themselves than helping renters. If you could get out of that lease do so!!!

The contract you signed is a BINDING LEGAL DOCUMENT not only to you but to them as well. Present a copy of the signed document in court and no judge will honor their "told you so" price. It is in no way your fault for signing a document that they misrepresented in the sale. Just as same as a car dealership cannot sell you a vehicle and then claim it cost more after you sign, its illegal. I would consult a lawyer and see if it is grounds for you to be able to break the legal document because they are not willing to honor the document and cannot pull prices out of their ass... And FYI, don't listen to threats by management here, they have as much legal experience as a 5 year old. Their threats are only going to get them in more trouble, keep a detailed list of such threats by them because them trying to enforce a non-existent contract is borderline harrassment that could claim punitive damages later in court. And dont worry, if you dont pay they cannot rent out your apartment, you have a legal binding contract as do they with you. That and they couldnt rent this place out if they were giving the units away for FREE, notice all the balloons everywhere. The Mill has been like a giant ant hill that had water poured on it, everyone is out of this place because they know its such a dump. Im glad my lease is up in 7 days. Even after we gave notice they STILL sent us a letter trying to get us to resign for 1000 a month for a 2bd/2bth. And they did similar to me with my lease when the new management took over. Old lease contracts used to state the rent was due 1-5th of the month. New management said it was due by the 1st and would charge late fees. I told them to go ahead and charge the late fees because my legal contract states I have to the 5th and I would be more than happy to see them in court. I noticed how you rated the parking though....it used to be hard to park on Friday's and Saturday's...now I could park a dumptruck in here there are so many parking spots because no one lives here....Only thing I'm jealous of is that my neighbors moved out before I could.
