Horrible Experience
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 11/2/2005
Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2005
Had to live here for a few months after job transfer.
First, smell never did leave apartment. We thought opening windows for a few days would get rid of it, that only eliminated the smell of all the air fresheners the apartment company had plugged in. (That should tell you something, when the apartment people put "plug-in" air fresheners in an empty "clean" apartment.)
Second, mold and mildew! Found it in the toilets, on the ceilings!, under the fridge, everywhere you looked. Started getting afraid to clean my own apartment as I would run across mold from another decade...
Third, ants! They crawled into the kitchen from other apartments (so they say). Management sprayed, which might have worked (left before I could tell) but the smell, on top of the mold/humid/' stench was unbearable.
Fourth, Parking! You have to pay extra for a spot. If you don't, be prepared to hike. On Sunday evenings, if you get in late, you will have to walk, probably 10 minutes from your parking. One night we never did find any parking and had to park at the shopping center across the B-E Highway.
Fifth, Our cars got bumped, scratched etc from other cars as the parking slots are so small.
Lastly, Only in apt for a few months and management billed me extra for cleaning, on top of one month's rent they kept as I left before 1 year. And I am a neat-freak. The place was spotless when I left. Cleaner than when I arrived. And I didn't cover up all the stench with air fresheners either.
