I HATE it! The day I got my keys I was told there were some minor problems. I walked in....the wood entry has NEVER been stained....do you know what 20 plus year old wood looks like after beeing wet and dirty for 20 or mor year' Not good at all! Then I noticed the carpets. There this UGLY yellowish-tan color. Then along the end there dark brown there so old. Then I noticed the light fixtures! There GOLD! Yes like the ones from the 70's! Sooooo ugly! I was told I could buy new ones nad they would replace them. I called and then the guy said he couldn't do the one in the stairwell....I said ok that's fine change the other one still. Ok so 7 monthes later he still hasn't done it. The blinds are all bent and messed up. They never clean the outside windows! They have all these ghetto patches in the carpet. The cupboard in the kitchen are sooooooo bad! I've rubbed them with wood oil many times and it doesn't help! The appliances are yellow and black! Yes 70's/80's also! Get this! I have to tackle my dishwasher to get it to close all the way to start and YES maitanance knows this! He is the one who told me that's that's how it had to be closed! The mirror in my bathroom is peeling. There is no light in the bedroom. The deck is covered in the sharp texture that's greyish purple and peeling. I could go on. But other then cosmetic stuff....I can hear the guy next door breathing pretty much. The baby under me screaming in the middle of the night and the parents don't even try to shut it up. The people under me cook the worst smelling food EVER and it comes through the floor and smells my apartment up. The parking is soooooooooooo bad. If you want a covered spot its $35 and a garage is over $100. They don't give you one marked spot with you over priced run down apartment! I should stop. Pretty much you shouldn't rent here. If you do respond and you can take over my lease ill give you $1000. Hahaha

Do I know you? :) I've lived here 3 years....and the first 2 were great. Maintenence was on top of any problem, the leasing people were terrific, etc. Then things started falling apart and I noticed nothing was being upgraded or fixed. Basically, the complex was painted outside for cosmetic reasons but nothing is done inside. My carpet is beyond bad. It wasn't good when I moved in, just cheap apartment stuff. I steam clean every 3 months and it doesn't help much.
The ironic part is this place is supposedly "Luxury". Rent for a one bedroom is now over $1095. That is insane. My fridge is 1989, the date is stamped right on it. The washer and dryer are original also. I have asked over and over when good, rent-paying tenants are going to be rewarded with some newer appliances. The response? For extra $50 a month, I too can have new everything. WHAT?! So for almost $1100 I can sign a new lease, keep my crappy carpet, and my ancient appliances. Wow. All new renters are getting upgrades....while the loyal tenants get a kick in the butt.
Had to go month to month starting next rent. They want over $200 MORE for this, but at least won't be locked into a lease. Getting the heck out of here. It's a shame, because the area is great but this complex is turning into a dump. As for your grass comments....all summer they watered 3-4 times a night by me. All my flowers, which I spent alot of $ on to try to "beautify" my area, drowned. I complained for months and nothing. Now the sprinklers have been turned off so the grass is browning. How hard is it to adjust a sprinkler? :)
PS I've oiled my "oak" cabinets in the kitchen/ie oak fronts and cheap rest of wood, over and over. They look even more dry now than before. Pathetic. Only reason I've stayed this long is that I have two dogs, one of which is 80 pounds. It's tough to find a place to rent. Time to find a house. Rent 3 years ago was $800, that seemed high but I took it. Next time went up $25, but then almost $150. I researched tenant laws to see if this was legal, and there isn't much we can do. That is WRONG. Almost 20% increase and we can't do a darned thing.
Good luck getting your windows done. I'm upstairs and they were finally done after a year of promises (I have it all documented). One time in 3 years. They get enough money out of us, this place should be sparkling! I personally know 7-8 tenants that have moved out in the last 2 months. The place is empty, so shouldn't rents stabilize or even drop???
