My experience...random notes.

Negatives: Some immediate dissapointments at move in...
The first time I used the dryer the hose was unplugged.
Old appliances
Could have been cleaner at move in!
The ISTA bill is much higher than I expected, comes every month with a $5 adm fee included. For two people it averages about $60 or more. I hate it!
Minor bug problem, black ants, some spiders, silverfish, various crawly things, but I have seen worse before.
There are at least 4 cars in my parking lot that haven't moved in over 2 months...some even have the windows down, flat tires, etc and this is no joke.
Had major burglary problem with garages, but deadbolts were installed.
Blinds were filthy at move in and most were damaged.
Cabinets have many scratches and stains.
Carpet did not smell or look clean and had some stains.
Paint over spray on windows and carpet. Very sloppy painting job.
Dog poop everywhere, watch where you step! Yes, it's even in parking lot!!!
Some BIG dogs, like Dobermans, Rottweilers and even a Pit Bull that wasn't on a leash! You've got Pepper spray right'!
Some walls have no insulation between you and the neighbors so speak softly; it's the entrance walls.
Positives:
Nice hot tub(indoor and outdoor), pools(inside and outside) and gymnasium.
Some good floor plans.
Only two stories high and have no common stairwells.
Office staff reasonably nice.
Garages on site if needed, carports as well.
In a great location.
They have recently improved the lighting. Big difference!
A tiny little Security Guard car drives through a few times a day.
A great complex for dog lovers or people who love to live around dogs.
