great location, but a little pricey

POSITIVES:
1) super quiet - I never hear my neighbors
2) great location - Mill Creek Town Center is across the street
3) Good layout - master bedroom has walk in closet and large bathroom with 2 sinks.
4) they allow pets - BUT the deposit isn't 100% refundable and it's quite sizable
5) has a deck
6) fireplace in living room, placed oddly

NEGATIVES:
1) parking is terrible. They charge a fortune for covered and garage parking, so that leaves almost everyone to fight for the free parking. They don't monitor the parking, some cars are left in spaces for months, never moving, never towed or paid attention to.
2) Utility costs. Our PUD bill is rediculous in the winter and I'm not convinced that it was accurate either. It averaged $125/2months. The ISTA bill for water, sewer and garbage averaged about $60/month. A little pricey and I was used to apartments paying for those things.
3) The fitness room is almost always filled with people, so you have to wait to workout. It's probably a better idea to join the LA Fitness across the street in the Town Center. Also, there isn't much in there... 1 treadmill, 1 bike, 1 eliptical and 3 or 4 weight machines.
4) Appliances. In the model they show you there are newer appliances and a built in microwave. The appliances in the kitchen and the washer and dryer are dated. The oven didn't heat evenly and 2 of the 4 burners got way too hot even on medium. The dishwasher is more of a dish rinser. Get used to checking every glass and utensil you take out of a cabinet or drawer!

Overall, it's not a bad place to live, but remember to add in the high utilities when you are budgeting. The town center is a great place, made the apartment much more likable given its close proximity to the complex. It's not the best, it's not the worst.
