We just received a letter from the Parkwood Management office stating that Parkwood Apartments are the Lowest Rated in Mill Creek on Apt. Ratings.com. The letter pleads with residents to take time to visit the site to write a review so that they could improve the rating with more accurate favorable reviews!

What''' How about sending Residents a letter stating that Parkwood has the LOWEST RATING and the Management would like to receive Feedback From Current Residents on What they Can Do TO IMPROVE !!! The Management is obviously in denial. This Property has the lowest rating for a reason it Deserves it. It's the worst. The Rents increase dramatically the most outrageous I have ever experienced. There are no added benefits or improvements or upgrades made or offered to long time residents. The office building is upgraded and redecorated often! The Trash situation is terrible (photo example attached)Unacceptable especially for the amount of Rents paid to live here. It looks like a trailer park at times. The Management (by the way never seem to be working or open)are not a very professional or helpful team. The apts. are falling apart. too bad they were once very nice. I could go on and on. I would move if I were in the position to do so!!

I knew it! You are absolutely correct in that they need to put money back in the complex and ask the residents what they can do to improve their rating instead of bribing them to write something positive. Even the positive ones just state the obvious, spacious and good location. My review about the garbage, rats, place falling apart was very much accurate as I was even specific in my complaints.Living there a number of years, I also know that the other negative reviews are accurate. They get a lot of money for rents but they don't do anything to improve or update the apts. The office staff (since Anna took over) is not friendly at all and usually unavailable if you need to talk to them. Anna holes herself up in her office (on the few occasions she is there) and doesn't bother trying to get to know the residents. I didn't trust the office staff, always hand delivering my rent check and asking for a receipt since there were some people who had their rent checks "conveniently lost". I hope that since the rental market is not as tight, that people shop around and read these reviews and think twice before moving into Parkwood unless they do things they should be doing to improve their facilities and people skills.

Dear resident, I would like to make an appointment to visit with you in regards to your concerns. We did send a letter out to our residents in hopes that they would share their experience with apartmentratings good or bad. We did not specify what kind of rating to give us or what kind of comment to post. In review of this site I have found in the past that most were unfavorable. I would like an opportunity to address some of your issues if you would like and hopefully make your living experience much more enjoyable as that has always been our goal. I can see that there are particular avid users of this website and also extend the invitation to them as well to come in and speak with me so that we can take care of all issues in an appropriate manner. I would like to share with you what new and exciting changes are being implemented at Parkwood and again hope that you take my invitation to visit with me sincerely.

Would LOVE the opportunity to get upgraded to wood floors and fresh paint ..... also PLEASE PLEASE tell dog owners (I myself am one) to pick up their dog poop!!!! I see many irresponsible dog owners just letting their dogs take a dump. Also more doggie bag receptacles could be helpful.... check out the website for Muttmitts.com

I love the layout of our apt. and it's location. The kitchen appliances are of the poorest quality, though. I would ask for new floors in the laundry room, kitchen and both bathrooms but am afraid of a rent increase. I feel the yearly increases are outrageous as it is. I don't see how we can stay....hopefully a DECREASE in rents this year. Anna and the office team are always great to talk with. There has been a great improvement in trash pickup during this past year, so no complaints there. New shower stalls and baseboards in the bathrooms are needed. Because we pay such high rents, I don't feel a rent increase would be justified if these improvements are made. Though I have high regard for the office and maintainance staff, I would not recommend Parkwood to anyone because of the rent.
