We have lived at the Jefferson for over a year. We started having problems about 2 months after we moved in when we got a new neighbor. This neighbor thinks that playing her rap music as loud as it will go is a good thing. We obviously do not. After talking to the neighbor repeatedly we finally complained to management - who did nothing. When this same neighbor started throwing cigarettes off her deck onto our car, the management still did nothing.
Incidently we pay $35 per month for this parking spot. But when someone parked in our space (and there is no other free parking in the complex) the management wouldn't even have the car towed so that we could park!!
Our dishwasher floods our apartment on a regular basis and when it doesn't it leaves our dishes dirtier than they went in. Maintenance says there is nothing wrong with it. We use it for a drying rack now.
When we originally moved in we were attracted by the outside appearance of the complex and all the amenities they offer. Don't kid yourself. You will never use those ammenities. And don't look too close at the grounds. You will find that your neighbors leave their trash at the curb 7 days a week - instead of Mon, Wed or Fri when it is picked up. Then the crows scatter the trash everywhere. Also, dog poop - big problem!
Most recently we got a notice from management that someone died "in the pool area" while we were on vacation. It was a form letter - no details, no further news. It came with a "personal safety" letter attached. You can draw your own conclusions as we had to. I WON'T be going in the pool either!
If you want to live in a complex where the manager has no back bone and your complaints fall on deaf ears - this is the place for you! The office staff is nice and all - just not very responsive.
