I have lived at the Reserve for 2 years and I like it. I have also lived in San Francisco and San Diego . My unit is insulated from street noise and I get the lovely sounds of the frogs, ducks and fountain. It is however not like living in a house and you will hear others running water or small children running upstairs.I don't find these a particular problem, because you trade off for a nice club/pool house, nearby trails, and walking distance to Town Center. {I love Central Market} My personal experience with maintenance has been stellar, including broken dryer, broken water heater, broken microwave, all fixed within just a few days. My neighbors have been pleasant and pretty quiet.
A month to Month lease is always more expensive, but I've found the staff helpful and they have been willing to work with me so that I didn't have to go month to month.
I'm sorry the Unhappy Californian had such a hard time here, but based on my experience I would happily recommend the Reserve to others looking for a nice place to rent.
My only negative is the new valet trash service which supplies a very small trash can and asks that it be curbside by 7;30 a.m. and not the night before. Good Luck..
