Just wanted to let you know BEFORE you rent here, that the office staff is VERY unprofessional and that there was a murder here a couple months ago.
There is also a prison right down the road so this is NOT a safe place to live.
Any good comments on this website is probably from the staff members.
Go to another town, do what you have to do but DO NOT live here!
The so called ASSistant manager has only worked here for 6 months and should probably be working in the prison down the road, she has that kind of personality.
I read the other people's comments on here and all the bad one's are exactly right.
I plan on moving out as soon as my lease is over. I wish I would've known how awful it was going to be living here before I moved in, so I wanted to be able to let you all know too. Don't waste your hard earned $$$ to this management, take it somewhere else, you'll be thankful you did.

I lived in Morning Run a little over 5 years ago and it was horrible. It was so horrible, I contacted the newspaper in Monroe and they did a story on them. The reporter told me that the manager at the time was pocketing money from illegal immigrants according to other sources (one was a former Morning Run employee), but she couldn't ever get them to go on record. I was willing to go on record, but the editor decided at the last minute not to for my safety. I heard this story over and over again during my two years there (couldn't afford to move). We moved there from a couple hours away, we viewed the model apartment and were told that was the model we would be getting for $750 a month. We came later to sign our lease, asking first if we could see it. They said the carpets were drying so we shouldn't walk in there. We showed up with the moving truck and our 7 month old baby and our apartment was so tiny, we couldn't fit any furniture in the room with our bed. My husband went and complained and they offered us a larger unit for more money. That's it. As it was, we were going to have a very hard time affording the rent and now we were either stuck with an apartment too small for us or higher rent. I heard this over and over again from other tenants that they were deceived in the same way. I had also asked what water/sewer/garbage would cost. The manager told me about $20 a month. They attempted one month to charge me $80 for it when my friend down the street with a house, a daycare, and more children of her own was never charged more than $50 per month. They said they charged per pound for garbage, but the city found this confusing because they said they didn't weigh the garbage. I left an angry message on the manager's voice mail and they sent me a revised bill - still around $60. We were charged per building and then it was divided up based on how many people lived there. Well, we had many unregistered tenants and one of the maintenance guys was running a carwash business on the side, using the water from our building. Even worse, at one point they sent us a letter saying it was time to renew our lease and it said our rent was staying the same. I kept the letter because I didn't trust them. When we went to renew our lease, it said, "$810". I asked her, "Why does this say $810?" She said, "That's what your letter said." Then she pulled out a phoney letter that was never sent to us! I ran back to our apartment and immediately located the letter, then I practically threw it in her face and said "$790!!!!!" She said, "I guess I'll have to change the lease." I said, "Yeah you will." I was furious. They probably knew we would move if our rent went up, so they were trying to trick us into staying there. It was an extra $50 if we were to go month to month. Another problem we had was a neighbor who smoked in her bathroom with her brother and his friends all day long. They would turn the fan on and it would suck the smoke into our apartment. It was so bad, our apartment was visibly smokey. When I got pregnant, I couldn't stop vomiting and because I didn't want to live in a another nightmare situation, we moved in with my parents until we could find the ideal place for us, which we did. The managers at Morning Run said they couldn't tell people what to do in their own home. I pointed out how ridiculous that is. People advertise all the time, "No smoking, no pets." They certainly can expect tenants not to damage the place with cigarette smoke. My current apartments have declared the place smoke free and tenants aren't even allowed to smoke near the building. Another issue was mold. We had mold growing on the living room wall even though we did everything we were supposed to in order to prevent it. I complained to the managers and they blew me off. I heard they just painted over the mold and eventually it would come through again. Another issue was the constant police visits to our complex, which made me a little nervous. We even had the police mistakenly visit our place in the middle of the night. I woke up to someone pounding on the door yelling, "OPEN THE DOOR!!!!!" It scared the crud out of me. Turns out they had the wrong place. Whoops. Years later I saw there was a shoot out involving an escaped convict. I couldn't have been happier to not be living there anymore. I think it was the building next door. At first sight, Morning Run looks like a nice place, but the managers were dishonest crooks, at least when I lived there.
