I have only lived here for about six months, and have found that conditions are getting worse. The noise is a large issue. There are children running rampant throughout our building all times of the day, with no regard to others who live in the building. They leave trash comprised of cereal, chicken bones, crayons, and whatever else they had been playing with all over the building. They have drawn on walls and it has not been taken care of. There is a distinct smell of body odor and garbage that will not cease.

The building itself is in need of repair. Doorjams in the main hallways are either severly broken or nonexistant; and in one case there isn't even a door! Light fixtures have been broken, shattered, and strewn about the floor, and have not been fixed, and it took a couple of weeks before it was cleaned up...I know that, because I cleaned it up!

The laundry room, although has just been upgraded with new washers/dryers, are now more costly, and they have installed a system where you use cards, rather than quarters to pay for your load. This is a very nice feature, however, the machine that you load the money onto the card is located in the main building, and I work the same hours that the office is open, so I can almost never get in to get my card filled, because the office is closed.

Most of the units have had the balconies redone. We happen to live in one of the units where that is not the case. We were told that it would be taken care of in late winter/early spring. Sadly, we are still waiting. The balcony is not safe, and we cannot use it, as it isn't attached to the wall as well as it used to be.It feels as if it will fall off if you are on there too long.

There is a "fitness room" and hot tub; the fitness room is not well kept, and the hot tub is eternally "under repair". The common room that is in the main building can be rented out for special occasions, but only during office hours.

When we first moved in, we noticed that all of the outlets in our master bedroom and about 90% of the outlets in the living room were not functioning. Called the office, and put in a request for a work order to have them come look. They never did, as our schedules didn't work out. Well, as it turns out, the light switch in the second, smaller room controlled ALL of the outlets in the master bedroom,the second room, as well as the majority of the outlets in the living room. When we realized this, we called the office back, only to have them say, "well hey, at least it is fixed!" Not so much...we have to deal with it that way, because they won't fix it.

The dumpsters outside the complex are disgusting; trash everywhere in and around the dumpsters, mattresses, furniture, all sorts of refuse strewn about. There is a clause in the lease saying you will be charged a nominal fee for doing such things. Somehow, I doubt that is happening, as the garbage continues to pile up.

Yes, the rent is less in comparison to many places...however the staff is unfriendly, cold, and seemingly unwilling to help at all unless there is some sort of incentive. Due to unforseen circumstances and a very sick parent, I have to break my lease, and am eating my ENTIRE deposit of $1100... I can't wait until november which is when the lease is up.


I would like to add an update to this. Since I posted this I have spoken with the management team here, and they are taking care of us, and are working with us to get out of the lease with little issue. Thank you to the staff for being fabulous, as it is much appreciated.
