Well I am more than likely going to rent a 1 bedroom after seeing one of the vacants yesterday.
MANAGEMENT: The assistant manager is a litttlle crabby and impaitent. But the MANAGER Andrea, was very pleasant and personable, and had many things to suggest to make my living there more comfortable. She did a great job trying to "sell the apartment" and not overbearing like some managers can be to try and rope you in. She made me feel like I am good to make my own decisions. WHICH I APPRECIATED
THE APARTMENT: Its not the biggest apartment, but the kitchen is a really good size, and all the appliances are in very good shape - and look quite new. The bathroom has ample room and lots of counterspace for an apartment bathroom. The bedroom is a very good size, and I was really taken by suprise by the fact that there are 2 CLOSETS! YES 2! One of them was cool because it was as long as the bedroom and it was deep and tall, not a chintzy one at all...probably 12 feet long. And then there is a little closet/storage thingy that is about a 6x5 and that is where the waterheater is...but still plenty of room for storage...or shoes...or whatever. The unit that I got to view gave me a good idea of what the apartments look like. So we will see when the unit that i am looking at becomes available and hopefully it is just as nice.
And they don't do leases -they have you sign on an "agreement" - never heard of that before, but we will see how it goes.
BONUS: and it doesn't say on their rental sites, but they pay for water, sewer, and garbage. So that is cool

hey, i have lived here for quite sometime now, and the management is fantastic, non of them are crabby, I go up to the office all the time probably more than they want to see me, sometimes i stay there for a long time just talking with all of them, they are great people. They are not only my landlords but I concider them my friends.

I've lived here for several years. The parking lot is appalling, the lighting encourages car prowlers, the landscaping, replete with dead trees and shrubs, makes the place look like a low-income ghetto. Both swimming pools were under maintainance through the entire summer, instead of doing necessary repairs during the winter months. So nobody could use the pools when they are supposed to be open. Generally speaking, I wouldn't recommend anybody move here. Not with a clear conscience anyway. Andrea is a great person, and a very professional manager. Mark, the maintainance man, is another asset to the Northern Lights team. However, the general upkeep of this complex is lax at best. Pay a few dollars extra and find a place you'll be happy with. I know I'm looking into it.
